Most non technical minded people are very surprised at how much easier good quality tools make the job.
I am not saying you are not technically minded, just trying to make a point.
Compare a professional tool to a week ender tool.
A ratchet from Snap-on or Mac is way better then Craftsman in a few ways.
Metallurgy, its stronger, its lighter, its balanced.
If it slips and I break my hand, they will get sued.
The gears won’t slip.
Don't take my word for it,
go and handle them, roll the different brands in your fingers,
check out the balance and the deg. in which the handle is angled.
buying a quality tool is like buying a Porsche, there is no other.

Well put, and I absolutely agree. I just got a nice set of blue-point metric ratcheting wrenches that would have came in very handy when I did the same job a couple of months ago. I was able to use the interlocking wrench method with success, but only after applying a floor jack to the bottom of the bell. The added pressure from underneath definitely made it much much easier.
