I run Hankook V12's and are happy with them. They were cheap, probably not much more than the ones you mention. See this thread:

I have them on front and rear and I like them, however tyres for the rear 8" rims are no longer available 245/45/16 so I went up a size and the ride height is still within specifications.

There are numerous threads on Hankooks, so do a 'search'.

I'm not familiar with this particular tire. I do have experience with some of the their OE offerings. As a whole, Hankook tires are generally pretty terrible.

I run them. Been riding the hell out of them for the past 3,000 or so miles. These are great tires and really hold the road. Don't hesitate.

Thanks guys,

I bought a set for the 82 but won't know what they're like for another 4 or 5 months. We just got 20 inches of snow with 30 MPH winds. My driveway has a six foot tall drift 30 feet long. I guess I know what I'll be doing today.

The 82 currently wears Yokohama S.drives that will go back on the 86.5. They seemed ok on the 82 but I've only put about 500 or so (non-agressive) on them.

The Ventus price was good at about 330 out the door.
