I used a Sachs clutch kit, ~$700. Don't have the part # handy but I can get it if you want.
For some reason it came with a pilot BUSHING, I bought a pilot bearing separately. Do you plan on having the flywheel and intermediate plate machined or replaced?
I would replace the flywheel bolts WYAIT - use a triple square socket bit.

As the Clutch kits are no longer available from Sachs - grab what you can while you can.

Sooner or later they, or someone else, will start making it again.

I cannot speak to the quality, but it took me quite a while to sell my spare 87/88 Valeo kit. I finally sold it for $600 after a couple of months of trying. The friction disk and pressure plate were both marked as Sachs.

I have the same make in my LT1 Trans Am. Works like a charm so it should for the 928. From what I remember, the LT1 and the 928 pressure plate is very similar. These guys have been making clutches for a long time.

Sorry for the delayed response, I ordered my Sachs kit thru my place of employment, came from WorldPac , it was in a Sachs box. Maybe Beck Arnley is just a reboxed Sachs kit?

Beck Arnley, (like WorldPac) is a reseller - they don't make anything.

I used to work for a Beck Arnley distributor back in the late 70's. Parts generally came from OEM quality suppliers then, but could come from anywhere now - hence the pilot bushing instead of a pilot bearing.
