My car for sale now- Sold.
I have got to throw it out there, I could use the money to pay bills and my life has changed a lot in the last 2 years with having a baby. I really don't have time to enjoy the 928, and can't seem to enjoy it when I do drive it now. I still love 928s, 928 wrenching and all my 928 friends... But my car would do better in someone else's garage so they could enjoy all that 928ing has to offer.
If it doesn't sell I am happy to continue my ownership (I think it owns me?).
Most of you guys know the car, so if you have a newbie who wants "in", this would be a turn-key car for them.
1987 Porsche 928 S4 5 speed Black/Black
-40% limited slip, 131k miles, lived in VA area ‘87-’04. I have owned from ’04 to present. No dash or pod cracks.
-Clean carfax, tons of service records, original window sticker. Hidden 6 disc cd changer, folding rear spoiler.
-silicone pan gasket, new motor mounts
-new shocks, springs (custom valved Bilsteins and Hypercoil 600/400lb springs)
-Custom 1 piece forged 18” CCW wheels to 928 offsets: 9.5” front and 10”rear 19.3 lbs and 20.6 lbs. Bridgestone RE050 tires 265/35/18. Carl Faucett front under brace. Aluminum belly pans, all intact.
-new all aluminum C&R radiator, cooling fans, water pump, timing belt, PK tensioner, cam sprockets, crank and oil pump sprockets.
-"full monte" done under hood done: intake and cam covers off and powder coated, and everything refreshed under there: Knock sensors, gaskets, wot switch, gaskets, thermostat, heater valve, plugs, plug wires, cap/rotors etc.
-Full respray in ’05 single stage black.
-Venture shield clear bra
-New fluids all around of course. M1 engine and Redline 75/90 gearbox.
-new battery, clutch master, clutch slave, clutch lines, oil hoses, windshield.
-all new fuses and relays.
- all new oil lines, fuel lines, and power steering hoses.
-2008 rebuild of A/C system and uses R12
-2010 new Timing Belt, PK tensioner, “Engine Guardian” 2 bearing water pump
-new axle shafts, steering rack, tie rods and lower ball joints
-Other upgrades: sport seats, GTS shift ****, short shifter, new shift linkage components, full GTS brakes, 33 bar bias valve, stainless lines, drilled rotors, GTS aero mirrors, H4 euro headlights, lomas X pipe, removable high flow cats, GT resonators, club sport rear muffler, tinted windows, Momo wheel.
-Mechanical work performed by David Chamberland and a/c by Earl Gillstrom
A/C is cold. Car runs great, runs cool, sounds great, shifts great, and everything works like it should.

Great combo! S4 5 speed w/ LSD, new paint, big red brake upgrade, sports seats, forged 18" wheels, aero mirrors, upgraded radiator, folding rear wing so probably a squirter block etc. etc. etc. Very nice car.
Good luck with the sale

It will kill me to miss SITM...
A rough but running OB would get me by for a while, with baby seat in the back!

Three Wheelin'
Hell, I've stuck ten grand in mine in the last 2 years and I'd have to spend another 20 to make it look and run as good as this one! What a steal.....someone is going to get one hell of an automobile. Best of luck!

Man, Carl.... I knew this would happen.
See, Carl's a 928 masochist. He likes wrenching and sorting them out. This car just needs to be driven and is no longer fun for him. Case in point, he wants a rough OB.
I've driven and ridden in the this 928. It's excellent! The x-pipe with GT exhaust is superb! Suspension and balance is well sorted and dynamic. Shifting is crisp. Wheels are lightweight.
GLWTS.
