I assume you used Amzoil on that record-breaking run. I'm sure the heat would have caused a molecular breakdown of lesser products like Mobile 1 at 950 mph.

Brett has been beaten by a margin of over 400%. Clearly he has much work to do in photoshop with his GPS to match those kind of numbers.

Congrats to you!!! 956mph, very impressive. You broke my record too, but not for long.... Not to be outdone!!!!

I am having my 928 lowered into one of the huge main gun barrels on the U.S.S. Alabama tomarrow, and will surely take back my record. And a few filled oxygen tanks in the rear hatch with blast caps on their valve heads, for an afterburner. Estimated speed: 2,100 feet per second, or 1,467 mph.

I've decided to hire a Chimp to drive, or fly it to it's new speed record. Not that anything would go wrong, because as long as you beleive it won't, your safe.

Here are some of the faster Porsches at the Texas Mile in October 2010. Both the white and silver ones were running in the 220mph range....amazing cars!!! Check out

No, I wish. Mine was just 383 after I came out from under an overpass, although it was just for an instant, then I went right back to 35 MPH.

That IS fast!

Were you traveling forward or in reverse? I once heard that a sports car might be faster going backwards... I forget which car though...

Coincidentally, Bill, a group of young guys at a car shop near here were huddled around youtube yesterday watching your burnout clip. Over and over.
