Back in blue, with pics
OK, here are a few pics of the Venetian Blue 88 that I brought home to Fresno last week. These are quickies, I literally just kind of wiped the car off. I was also too dumb to take pics of the beautiful inside quarter panels, which must have been redone because they are flawless and not warped.
This is apparently all original paint. When I washed off the car my first thought was, the PO could have gotten about $2K more if he had bothered to wash it. He was not anxious to make a sale, just wanted his car to go to a better home.

When I told everyone I was searching for an S4 to replace my first one that burned up, Dr. Bob told me about a fellow in Burbank who might be willing to part with his car. The car was never on the market. It runs like a top, with numerous recent fixes and upgrades. I am very happy about this car, it is really a whole lot better than the first one I had for a short while. I am using it as a daily driver, which makes me feel very decadent. I walked to my usual spot at work today and thought "wow what a badass car there. . . wait, it's my car."

Yes after the trauma of losing my first 928, this is definitely getting lemonade from those lemons. For those who would wonder what kind of S4 with 132K miles could fetch $14K, here is the answer. This original paint has not even one scratch. It is actually kind of depressing knowing that it will only get worse from here.

Congrats. Very nice. Some day I will be able to trade up to your car (love that color).....Holy smokes.....but I do really like my 1981 project 928.
I find my 2004 Yamaha FJR is a very nice compliment to the 928. They both have a top speed of 140+. Vrrrrooooommmmm.

Met my best friend through 928's and the '88 he had at the time was Venetian blue like yours. His was a 5spd with Linen interior though and NOT NEARLY as nice as yours (but still pretty nice!) Drive and enjoy in good health and get your fuel lines changed! I probably need to do that to most all of mine. With all the cars that have gone up in flames the last year or so I am feeling queezy!
