Fuel lines have already been done on Sean's car. PO was pretty fastidious about that kind of thing.

James, In my profile over at the owners club you can see the lines that I bought.

I would have to agree with everyone else that this is one smoken hot good looking car. Wow.
I can already feel the cringe when that first scratch happens, hopefully not for many many years.

Nice buy

I have documentation on $17K of repairs/upgrades from the past 4 years (yes including new fuel lines, don't want another one to burn up). This is a very solid car, the kind rarely sold, but that all buyers wish they were buying.

Thanks for the well-wishing,

Sean

Sean--

Fair warning is given that a garage queen very quickly loses her royal stature and appearance if used as a DD and left out at all. I used mine for that duty for a whilw, as a Friday flex-day commuter from the beach to Pasadena. Drove pretty much in the dark both ways, kept it garaged and covered at both ends of the ride. Still a LOT of continuous care and attention to keep it nice. Yours has clear-coat, so there's no easy recovery from sunburn. Those unwarped rear quarters inside will quickly reshape themselves after a only a few warm sunny days unprotected. You asked for an exceptional car and got one. But it won't stay exceptional if it is at all neglected.

I am really intrigued by the recent discussions about 3M crystalline window tint for UV blocking purposes, I'm going to have it done to my cars.

I presume this is Rolf's old car? $14K is a freaking steal for it, if so.

Well I do plan to keep it as nice as possible, as I always did with my 944, even though it was a DD commuter as well. It wasn't the commuting that really beat up the car, the summer road trips to Canada were harder on it than anything. At one point I had the entire nose and driver's side repainted because of rock chips. Used a bra after that.

Fortunately at work we have new covered parking, so I can keep it out of the hot sun. My goal is to keep the car looking as good or even better for the next 10 years. As for sunburn, can anyone recommend a good compound to help prevent?

For those who know him, this is indeed Rolf's (former) car. He seemed pretty torn up about selling it, but he seemed to feel that its days as "garage queen" should be done. He was happy that it would be seeing regular use. I bet it's never been to Canada before, maybe it's ready to travel.

Cheers,

Sean

Keep it covered when it's parked, using as good a light-proof cover as you can find. The clear-coat paint suffers from ultrviolet epoxidation, so the less UV that hits it, the longer the clear layer will last.
