Of course that Murphy dude can strike at any time, but that is true of even a new car.

On the fence of what to do. I have left the car 99% stock. I cleaned up and fixed things to make a nice reliable car. I have a bunch of parts to throw at it but I feel I will be making it my car and doing things that others might not like in the future. I would like to find a GT but don't have the room for both. So I will either be cleaning and preping for sale or going all in on the 82' for a while and making major changes.

Lets see...
Finish the TT rebuild with SuperBearings
Finish the trans clean and reseal
Install all the suspension with new bushings and Bilstiens
Repaint calipers with new pads
Repaint wheel wells and engine bay Tahoe Blue in anticipation of the color change next winter.
Get it back on the ground in Feb/March.
Start on the engine reseal and convert to MS3.
Hopefully drivable in May.
Work on interior fixes and renovation during summer while driving out the bugs!

I am not going to say how much I have invested in my car, but I am still at least 30 grand away from having a 15,000 dollar car. Greg Nettles
Greg, I saw your car at 3rd coast. You already have a $15K car!

For me:
Windshield change (new one sitting in Roger's wharehouse)
Some (lots of) sound proofing
Rewire my sports seats so the memory function works for the mirrors
Replace the LH mirror motor
45 bar brake bias valve along with fluid flush
New 315's tires for the rear

Then of course there are the un-planned items.

I'm lookin at brakes (pads, rotors and flush), MM/OP (if I feel up to it, don't think it I have to yet), wheel bearings, steering rack boot as winter projects. Next spring I am sure it will have some more ideas for me.

Thanks Jim, but you know what I am saying, all the mods I want to do will not add much, if any, value to the car.

You can see the complete list in my sig links.

Short-term winter projects for Perl:
- X-Pipe w/GT resonator & rear muffle
- New Laso water pump (again, only rebuilts were available two years ago)
Coolant bridge reseal (again, didn't do it right the first time) & coolant flush
LED gages ala Nicole @ Hooked On Cars
CV's
Brakes & Rotors/ 33 bias/ e-brake shoes/ fluid flush

On the '77, I'll be heading up to Michigan to perform a list of safety service items, fluid changes (stabilization), and return to ROW stock (if time permits).

And more research...
And more saving money...

Jeesh! I thought this was going to be a low-key 928 winter.

OMG, way to much to post, but I hope to get this done this winter

Pull engine renew everything in the engine bay
and install these parts

total top end refresh with new custom head gaskets. (to handle BOOST)
replace all vac lines with red and silver silicone
replace fuel lines and rails with this

.

Install new tensioner but still need the double rollers at the bottom
also the driveshaft clamp but I still need to order and install the super bearing in the TT while engine is out.

.

Install my new 930 steering wheel

.

Install The 928 Motorsports TEC GT Engine Management System

This means replacing all wires and connectors in the engine bay. going to coil direct fire and remove distributor caps.

New tires (not ordered yet)

Roger has those new drilled rotors and pads coming for me (Hmm better remind him)

Oh Crap I need to order that in tank pump / screen

fix pass seat (striped gears)

fix sun roof (who knows)

Oh Oh, check the bottom end incase the rod bearings need to be renewed and recheck the mains that I did last spring.

Last but not least
FIX ALL THOSE DAM GROUNDS!!

Then Tune with my lap top and this

.

I hope I have time for all this and then I should be ready to add some type of power adder but I have not decided on Super Charger, Turbo, NOS or what.
$5800 canadian

.
.

Refresh the front wheel liners. I have all the parts, just need to stop being lazy.

Bigger plans are for one of Greg Brown's stainless header and exhaust systems. Maybe GT cams, top end refresh, and Sharktuning.

No my rears are 11", fronts are 9" with 255's. But, I still seem to wear out two sets of rears for each set of fronts.

This winter I plan to finish re-doing the interior. When summer hits, I plan to take the car in, strip all the paint off, and throw a nice metallic Venetian Blue on. Also, later next year I will be getting some 996 rims, and those will be a silver white. The brake calipers I may paint either Red, Yellow, or Black.
