Default Nylon DIY crankscraper - good idea?

I read a lot about crank scrapers and 928Motorsports have a beautifull example, but at a price. I don't race my 928 a lot and my engine isn't (yet) highly tuned, but I was thinking of this idea:

How about using the idea of Louis Ott of making seperate oil scrapers, but instead of using metal, make them from nylon. I will delete the vertical lip that he has welded to let the oil drop in the oil pan. I also won't combine it with a windage tray.

To give you an idea, here's a picture of his scrapers. I hope I don't offend anyone by adding another persons picture in my thread; otherwise, please let me know.

What do you guys think of this idea? Or is it still too high of a risk despite using nylon and not adding a windage tray? I'd like to hear you opinions!

Nylon melts at somewhere around the flashpoint of motor oil. So you're fine there. But doesn't motor oil perhaps break it down over time? Not sure why nylon would be preferable over metal. I guess if it did come loose, there would be less of a mess. Interesting idea.

Well, the idea of using teflon as a scraper is not new. Crank-scrapers.com sell them for Porsche 924/944/968 amongst others:

So no ideas on this?
What are the bolts normally for that are used in the first picture to hold the seperate crankscrapers? And at what torque should they be fastened?
