Default Hatch release

Hello all
First i have searched but all answers said to replace fuse #26 - 1 amp fuse if motor only turns when switch lifted.
Manual says lowbeam/left 8 amp? Yes all interior light works, door open, i have shimmed and adjusted the arm, only if i understand that 1 amp fuse!!
Thanks
Barry

You don't have the 1 amp #26 fuse. That started in 85. There is an inline fuse near the back, I believe, but I don't know how the 83-4 circuit works. Maybe Alan or some other electrical guru will pop in and provide some electrical guidance and help you make sense of this. Here's a starting place....

Trace the wiring - you should find the in-line fuse in the rear behind the tool tray
