87 928S4 AT torque tube bearing's sleeve
Im changing TT bearings, using SKF 6006 2Z JEM. Inside the old bearing, where the shaft itself goes, there is a rubber - metal sleeve. Mine is shot. Any ideas where to get replacement?

I made them myself on a lathe and used Delrin. With a little step at the end, they are push fitted in the bearings and with longitudal grooves on the inside of the sleeve, they are a tight fit to the shaft. The grooves I made with the same tool in th elathe, but at a little greater diametre than the inside actually is. Don't turn on the lathe, but just slide the tool through the plastic. The groove will get two higher sides next to it, decreasing the inner diameter localy. Works brilliant and although I haven't seen them after installing them, they have done 5000 km's of vibrant free running...

Jager used to sell Delrin replacements but I don't see them on his site any more.
