Default '88 cuts out then recovers when AC turned off. Thoughts?

This happened once a week ago and then Saturday and again yesterday. It starts and runs fine, but then, several minutes later, suddenly the power drops. Still has enough to move itself in traffic, but only that. The last two times it happened I hit the AC button to turn it off and the motor instantly recovered.

I looked through the wiring diagrams last night looking for a fuse or a relay or something that was shared between the AC clutch and the injection or ignition but did not immediatly see anything.

I was thinking of the motor ground strap, but on Saturday I turned the motor off and restarted it right when I was having the problem and it spun fine.

Now, I am not sure. Ignition switch? Anybody seen this before?

Ground points and strap can be finicky. I drove to work one morning and that evening wouldn't jump, or turn over. replaced ground strap. Fired right up.
May be the load the AC puts on the system and the decreasing electron flow because of a poor ground, may cause it to cut out. No expert. but simple enough to check. Plus the grounds have to kept up anyhow.
