Not sure of the price, but the 2000 Ford Contour dual fan unit is very cheap and fits great. I looked at those fans myself but I too was unsure of the quality and fit.

IMHO at that price you will get what you pay for - not much. I have tried 16" Chinese fans front and rear of radiator with mixed success. I am now running a pair of SPAL 11" fans (~$200) - they look almost identical to the setup sold by one of the vendors here - little blow open flaps top and bottom etc. I made up a frame of alloy angle to mount them, and they cover 95% of the core. SPAL quote a very LONG motor life on their web site.

The '98 V6 Contour/Mistyque are the same and also read it here that the Taurus fans are even higher CFM (same dimesion as the Contour/Mistyque). They also have a shroud (look a lot like the S4 fans). You can't beat OEM quailty over some noname stuff. OEM has all the R&D already built into them so you know they will last.
