Hey dose the engine have good cam gears.
Never mind I'm just playing around because they are worth $300-$500 each if you part it out
Seem that there is a shortage

You can have the entire engine for $500...
As far as the sunroof pieces, I'm not quite sure what you're referring to. Shoot me a pm or give me a call and we'll talk. If it's still on the car, yes, it is available.

That is very reasonable of you.
That year is no good for me but I am sure that someone with a 83 will be jumping on you deals.
Wish you the best

Just FYI for everyone. I was one of the first to request parts/pieces from Trey. I am normally very hesitant to send money to someone I do not know. Point being-all items were received in the described condtion and the price was good as well.

Trey,
Its my avatar car that needs the hatch.
Please let me know your best price on this piece.
Regarding the engine: Can you say more about it? A 4.7 may not be the rarest bird today, but 18 months or 30 months from now it might be far, far more appealing. Its my favorite right now, mainly because at the low HP its over-engineered and so damn reliable. Honestly, how is this one?

CJs-thanks for the reference, I'm sure we'll cross paths at a PCA rally at some point- I look forward to meeting you.
Landseer-when you say hatch, do you mean the actual hatch itself (ie the metal part)?
The engine was running well before the accident. I know the previous owner of the car as well and he drove the car several times a week. While it's out, I'd go ahead and do most of the preventative maintenance one would expect to do on it. Had the car been repairable at a reasonable cost, she'd still be on the road and would have quite a few more miles on her...

Yes. If your look closely at my avatar, the lower right and left, below the window, are rusted.
Its actually pretty deep rust. Am afraid of distortion of the thin frame during even careful mig replacement of those sections.
An alternative would be a S hatch, in platinum if possible, for which I would need only to weld the mounting holes.
The car is 1985 USA with the spoiler delete option, which I really like and want to maintain.

This hatch isn't perfect. There is some minor rust beneath where the spoiler was. It's still solid in those areas though and could be brought back with minimal body work. Let's talk and see if this will work for you.
Thanks
