Rog, I am not sure what Bezel you are talking about or if/why it would be needed for this application...can you provide pics of what you are talking about?

James, check the installation guide. I describe two installation options for those who have a vinyl console and I included a picture of the factory switch frame.

Working on installing mine...not going as smoothly as I had hoped. I have the wire ends spade terminated and there is no telling what goes where...not to mention there seem to be FAR TO FEW of them compared to what is currently plugged in (but probably not all of them being used) with the stock system. Also no telling how to hook up the kick down switch activation... Email going to Hans tonight from my helper and good friend Jim Willman, without whom this job would have been completely impossible for me! Thanks Jim and Hans we look forward to your detailed explanation on why we can't see to figure this out...

James,

did you guys read the installation guide? I also posted a picture of the harness with factory plugs. That shows where the color wires go.

As noted in the guide, you should note the colors of the switch plugs on the chassis side of the connectors and just match to colors with the new connectors. We used the same color wires as factory.

I'm sure Hans will be able to help with more details.
He added some troubleshooting notes to the guide recently.

Paul, I was letting Jim handle it... We read the installation guide like 3 times. Looks like some of the plugs will only have one wire going to them, some will have two and some might even have three... Each window has the same three colors of wires on my GTS, so that didn't really help us much and again there were not nearly enough wires to match up. Again, there is the exact number needed but how they match up was not clear to me or Jim so we figured the better part of valor was to email Hans and see what he says. Jim took all the wiring home with him so he can label each wire.

Also there was no write up on exactly how the kickdown activation will work... Looks like it have 5 wires in and out of the box...one in that is the control wire I am guessing. A pair that are hot and ground and a pair that go to the +/- of the kickdown switch I am guessing...that would be the 5, but don't again we could not figure out exactly what went where.

James,

I sent a couple emails to Jim earlier this evening. We will revise the instructions with more information for those without plug&play harnesses. I will also post some notes on how to wire parallel kickdown, but as mentioned in the thread before we ever collected funds, the PKD and hatch release switch is not part of the plug and play harness for liability reasons.

The guides will improve as feedback comes in from installations. Thanks for helping us find the holes, we will do our best to improve the guides as soon as possible. I have a meeting in the morning, but will get these rounds of improvements prepared before noon.

If anyone has any questions, please feel to get in touch with me, I am happy to troubleshoot and walk you through the install process by email or phone.

Thanks,
Hans
