Always good to have backup! I'll have mine with me, too. Don't really anticipate problems, three 16 hour plus drives this year so far, only had to replace a taillight bulb, but you never know!

I'll be coming as well. Richmond crew running up to the RP together or Cannon Ball Run Style to the RP?

^^^ I figure I will roll solo since Im farther east.

The RP is the first lot on the right after you get on the parkway.
If you second guess and miss it, hang out at the next scenic overlook and wait for the crew to catch up. Roger Dodger?

Do you mean the 1st lot on the right ..? after you exit off I-64 and loop down
back under 64 ...it will be on the immediate right hand side...?
Coming from the east,,, C'Ville

Transmission is back in, lots of distractions today with the kiddo learning to ride her bike sans training wheels.

Hi Martin,
Pleasure to meet you today and thanks for the escort back . Made it OK, but avoided a CAT fire. Care used about 3/4 tank of fuel in 90 miles.
I'm thinking MAF.

Dang, my father was just on the Blue Ridge Parkway today with his 928, knew I should have tagged along. I wish I would have seen this thread sooner, we could have meet up with everyone and added two more cars to the run. The weather could not have been better today, anyway next time I guess.

I worried a bit about that (cat fire)- glad you made it back ok! I'm sure you guys will find the problem real quick - and I think that kind of fuel consumption has got to be diagnostic. And BTW, great to meet you today, and again, what a day! Wish I had talked the whole group into the 56>151>250 route- not only gorgeous rural VA, but two lively breweries on the way, great eats, good crowds, etc. Next time gotta do some planning!

Now that is too bad! Would have been even more fun with you but I'm sure you enjoyed the day as much as we did - another time!

That was a good run.
330 miles round trip, 160 on the BRP.
Great running with all you guys. Also always, I enjoyed the leisure roadside tech session.
I think a little more planning is in order, and would like "off the beaten path" too, esp w/ breweries.
Thanks Kevin & Chris who covered me, because my dumbass forgot my wallet. lol
No tix and only one casualty... not bad!
The weather was phenominal!!

Will post pics tomorrow...

PS way to go fraggle!

Good day.
Some pictures below.
Cars were as follows:
87 S4 Perl white, 91 GT white, 86.5 S black, 87 S4 black, 84 Euro S grey

Very professional resto work done to the 91 GT. Excellent paint.

Thanks for waiting for us at the start, Martin!

Charles, keep us posted on the black S4. Bound to be something simple.
