Default Mud Flaps/Guards for 928S

I purchased a 1985 928 about 6 months ago. I've put about 1000 miles on it, about 25 of which are on my rotten dirt/gravel/asphalt access road (I live in a semi-rural area). The paint behind my front wheels is getting sand blasted off and since this is an original paint car (in great condition other than this road rash), I wanted to find mud flaps for at least the front wheels.

Well, I can't find anything for a 928 specifically and was wondering if someone else has done this? Can I buy some generic mud flaps and cut them down to fit my wheel well?

Thanks,
TO

TO, just drive slower on your access road. Mud flaps would look terrible on the 928. IMHO

I put a set on my 88 they are kinda invisible. Note this is done on a S4 so you wont have the lower body cladding to anchor the flaps to a clamp of some type is better than drilling holes into the bodywork.
Also i used 3M paint film protector on the areas along the rocker and then behind the rear wheels seems to be working fine .

I think JCWhitney has curb feelers.

They're out there (see #4), but PET has no part #.

928 559 901 02 - Mud flap set

My '86.5 came with a generic set installed F&R. They don't look too bad, and actually work well. I took them off for a while, then put them back on to save the paint.

Last time I checked they were available.
I have one in stock.

Wow they made mud flaps for 928's? I'm surprised.

I would suggest having a clear bra installed on the entire length of the rocker and immediately behind each of the wheels for S4 owners which have the smooth rockers. Not sure if there are any invisible solutions for the 928S, sorry.

Thanks everyone for the quick replies.
I agree driving real slow (<10 mph) would probably help, but it's a 1 mile long road and driving at 20 seems glacial ;-)

I'll look into the custom (thanks Roger) flaps, 3M clear film, and DIY job (thanks for photos). Those "generic" installed flaps look custom from the photo, I'd like to know what they used.

For the record.
The front right and left mud flaps are available and they have about 70 of each in Germany.
The flap on its own is $58.39.
The associated brackets and hardware are out the wazzoooo price wise.
On bracket alone is $126.
