I'm pretty sure I looked at this very car about three years ago. It was offered at a mostly muscle car dealer in/near Baltimore if I remember correctly. At the time I knew little about 928's so my memory is not so clear.
At the time it had a number of oil leaks. The intake valley was a small lake of oil, the waterbridge was leaking round the gasket and the drivers side cam cover was leaking. Both belly pans were on the car and there was oil dripping from the back of them. No way to really ascertain where it was coming from. All hoses and wear parts under the hood looked original.
The paint was a 7 out of ten. Small rust bubbles along the bottom of both rear quarter windows. Not all electrical switches worked. Can't recall which ones specifically beyond the sun roof which was intermittent. Car idled poorly when cold but seemed to idle and run ok after that. I took the car for a 20 mile test drive with the sales rep in the pass seat. The upholstery was in good condition. No cracks or tears. It did have an after market audio system IIRC.
If someone bought that car and spent a lot of time/effort/$ in the interim three years that car needs a lot of catching up to do.
Of course I cannot attest that this is indeed the car I looked at and test drove three years ago. The mileage, color combination, especially the tan with black rib seat trim, sure is the same.
If you could go look at the car in person you'd be better able to ascertain the true status of the car.
Good luck if you bid.
