Default rear wiper delete option

It seems that many of the '80 cars did not have rear wipers other than the "S" versions.
I have always liked the look of the a rear wiper on all Porsches and my question is since my car didn't come with one and all just how hard would it be to install one with current available stock?
Has anyone ever added one to a car that never came with one?

There is a procedure in the WSM for service installing the rear wiper, it shows all the measurements and steps necessary.

Don't modify your hatch. Those are very desireable, especially clean without spoilers.

Get another with the hardware (should be almost a freebie) and replace yours.

If you still want to do this after the advice above, get hold of 77Tony. I just deleted mine off of a 94 928 GTS and I will sell the unit to you. It also has a brand new wiper blade. T

Agreed. DO NOT modify a wiper delete hatch. Thats like turning gold into lead. Another hatch is very cheap. Sell your old hatch and it will be at no cost to you and you wont have to drill yours.

BTW, I recently aquired a no wiper, no spoiler hatch that I plan to use on my next project.

This would be like the guys who bought a '63 Corvette split window, then 'modernized' it by installing a solid rear window so it looked like the new '64.

The original '63 split window is a much more desireable collectible.
