Default Conquered Window motor install.

So i took on one of the first tasks needed to be done on my 86.5 S. The car came with a used window motor, and regulator the p/o supplied he said he just didnt have time to get in. So i took the panel off today, and couldn't figure out why i couldn't find the motor. It was not in there lol. So i had no idea how to mount the one he gave to me, due to the fact that i did not remove the old one. So after about an hr of looking thru posts on here i found one similar to mine and it took a little puzzle work but i figured out how it went in, and bam, i have a passenger window that works. ,

Thats my triumph for today. Now added to the list though is a door panel replacement. That thing is falling apart thanks to the idiot who installed door speakers and destroyed the old one.

Chris.

Oh yeah and i also found that the a p/o capped the wires going to the power locks and installed some after market keyless entry lock system. Probably for an older alarm that is no longer is use. So that came out as well. Old locks are hooked back up and working perfectly.

if you take the time to remove the door panel you should also install a vapor barrier this will prevent water from damaging the door panel and the door will seem vault like when its closed

First make drip panels, they should hang about 1 1/2 in below the openings,
then cover the whole door with another sheet,
I use the clear shower curtains found the dollar store and Weldwood brush on cement from HD

Yes it does. My next main concern is the drivers door handle. I hear this is a common prob. Where is the best place to order a replacement?
