16v Head Lindsey Racing Valve Springs Group Buy
RULES & GENERAL INFO:
We have been asked to put on a group buy for our Standard Racing Kit #1 Valve Springs for the 16v head engines. (928 32v and 944S2/968 cars) Our understanding is that Colin has been discussing this with many of you on this and another forum. We will be holding the group purchase here since Lindsey Racing is a RL Sponsor. We will let Colin answer questions and steer people to other discussions as he is our group leader in this purchase.
CLICK HERE to link to the product.
Taken from our web page HERE
These are the price point levels. Like most group purchases, the more who get on board, the lower the price.
1-9 Sets $592.00 (Regular Price)
10-19 Sets $513.00
20-29 Sets $483.00
30+ Sets $454.00
The firm DEADLINE for this group purchase is the end of the day on Wednesday, December 15th, 2010.
We will be requiring a 50% non refundable deposit at the time of their order.
All you need to do is indicate that you’re in, in this thread, and we will contact you through a PM with further instructions. Look to make sure you name appears on the list within a day or two. If not, please lets us know again.
So there is no misunderstanding on the price points… If say 16 people hop on by that deadline and 5 more come around the following week, the 16 get the 10-19 price level, and the late 5 to join will be buying at the 1-9 or regular price.
Anybody who wants in on the group, but doesn’t supply us their purchase information, ( full name, billing and shipping address, payment info etc…) by
the deadline gets removed from that group which could have an effect on the pricing level the group is at or thinks they are at.
Our spring manufacturer has passed along some generous savings to us on a one time volume purchase, which we have passed along to the group.
That price is based on the amount we order on the 16th of December. That makes the price points firm and non-negotiable as your prices are based
on us getting the quantity breaks from the manufacturer at the same quantities.
We would be keeping an up to date tally posted in the thread of people and their status (I’m in / Contacted Us / Deposit Paid) on as timely a fashion as we can so everybody in the group, and who is considering joining the group, know what’s going on and who needs a PM to get them in gear and paid from the group. We won’t be contacting those who are falling behind. That will be the groups responsibility.
We mayl update this top "RULES & GENERAL INFO" post so you may want to check back and see if anything has changed or been added.

Tom,
Dave's post is a little unclear.
However yes this is for 928 S4 32V heads.
The 928 S4 installed spring height is 1.390".
Their spring set is for installed height of 1.400"
For all of those getting new cams, or regrinds with higher lift/duration, or even those of you with GT cams I would recommend these springs as an upgrade to increase the life of your camshafts and to help prevent the common pitting that occurs on the GT cam noses.
Dave,
Please put me down for 4 sets.
And thank you for your work on this and helping put this together for us.
For those wanting specs.
80# Seat Pressure at Installed Height of 1.400"
197# @ 1.000"
232# @ 0.900"
257# @ 0.850"
With the stage II this will lead to right around 200# of nose pressure at maximum lift. These also have enough seat pressure for higher boost applications for those running SC applications.

Yea...I thought so....
When I first read it.. I thought 16V engines.. and those owners get whipped into a frenzy when they see high performance aftermarket parts available for their 928's...
I didn't want to see their hopes dashed once again ...

Sorry about the confusion. We will be trying to get some 944S2 and 968 customers in on this to since it fits all 16v heads. Of course they will only count as 1/2 a sale since the pricing is based on 32 valve springs per set.

They have 2-valve springs as well as 4-valve springs available here:

Then it's not unreasonable pricing.
