Have you considered this S4 that Blitz928 has for sale? It is pretty well sorted.

The seller told me that he is selling this car for a leasing company and they set a price for it. Thats why he said he can not change the price.

The dealer is a Porsche mechanic and he is dealing with Porsches all the time. That made me to think that he should know the car's possible problems.

I asked him about the torque tube bearings and when I drove, I did not hear any sounds. The car was running good and idles good too. Idling might be a bit low. I think it was around 700. Only thing was when I was driving slowly and giving very little gas, the car was not smooth. I first thought if the car engine was not warmed up yet, but before we had driven, we had left the car for a while to warm up, so this can not be an issue.

Does the car really need to refreshing an intake? Does the the tube missing means that? By the way AC was working in the car.

Cosmo: I saw that car too, but it will be really hard for me to get it from US. I am trying to find something in the nearby.

Thanks for help again.

Nearly every car this age needs thousands to make it roadworthy.
Not trying to discourage you, but you aren't listening.
That mechanic has a conflict of interest, therefore simply can't be a reliable source.
Pay a third party to review the car and write up a checklist report.
It will save you many times over.
Be very discriminating about spending for one of these.

I will show this car to a mechanic. I agree that the seller has a conflict of interest.

I posted questions here, just to get an idea if this car worths to show to a mechanic. I can not show every car that I like to a mechanic. It will be too costly. I just wanted to get an answer if those problems that I saw in this car can be an indication of a major problem or not. If yes I will walk away from this car and look others and dont bother about showing to a mechanic.

Thanks for help and suggestions again.

Glad to help.

It would be highly unusual to buy a car on the market that will not need significant refresh, though.

Just be aware of that so you aren't disappointed later. Not an expert at all, but I've refreshed 4 completely and helped on 3 S4's and yet another early car and can tell you with some measure of assurance that when they hit 70K miles they need a whole lot of minor refresh that adds up to major time / money.
Good luck, hope you find the best possible.

There are established checklists for the inspection specific to the 928.

What better reason to fly to FL and drive home LOL!

I know the logistics of importing makes it tougher, but there are lots of nice examples priced better in the USA. The nice thing about getting a car from a Rlister is most of them are pretty well sorted mechanically. You can find sorted cars in Canada as well but you have to wait a bit.

The S4 you are looking at looks nice. The interior does look like it had sat outside for a period of time with the dash warped like that, but the rest of the interior looks like the stated mileage of 103k kms. The low speed loping could be a number of things; vacuum leaks, bad plugs, bad grounds, etc etc. It could be something simple or it could be something that takes a mechanic hours of time to isolate. Overall based on what you you have said it will be in need of an intake refresh, ignition wires, plugs, rotors, caps, fuel filter, motor mounts, oil pan gasket, grounds cleaned and timing belt checked to ensure it is in good condition and tensioned properly. You would have to set aside about 3-4 k to get this done if you are looking at a shop doing the work as other things might pop up once the mechanic digs into it. The intake tubes have to be removed to basic service and they may have been broken so that could explain why they are not there. They can be sourced from one of the vendors here that sell used parts.

If you decide to go forward with the PPI make sure the mechanic checks the flywheel end play; it is critical on the auto transmission cars. Search for thrust bearing failure here in the forum and you will fine the procedure to check, most mechanics won't have an idea what you are talking about.

OP: Check this one out. 86.5, new paint, service records obviously owned by someone that cares for it. $1500 more then the S4 you were looking at makes this one much more desirable, unless you prefer the S4 body style.
