Default So... about this trans leak.....

Well while my hands de-pruning from engine scrubbing, I thought maybe I'd get some thoughts on my trans situation.

Really, I don't want to drop it, but with the engine out and needing some shifter work too, maybe now should be the time. Here's a few pics... comments?

Note the bad cable

Normal, as in many have input shaft seals leaking?
I would pull it and repair it while you have the engine out, I bet the front bearing is getting loose.

Leaks drive me nuts.

some times swapping out the trans oil to a different brand will slow or stop a leak.
If its not leaving a puddle i would leave it alone till it gets worse just make sure you have the trans filled to to correct level

It looks to be washing areas clean, so it is leaving a mark.

All three of the 5 speeds I worked on this week was leaking in the same spot. Sadly, two of them are GTS's.
