Default one front gas strut

I have one front strat with gas shockabsorber. Is it a good idea to buy another one to make a pair to fit on my '78 or is it important to have a pair to originate from the same car?

That strut appears to be adjustabe,
and the original front is not,
Best bet buy a new set of 4 Bilstiens , they will all come with new lower adjustable perches,
\ Rogers selling them at 740.00 for the set a great deal
