unitfreebie,

Thanks regarding the wood. The door panels and the console portions are OE, and were a very expensive option on these cars (~$5K!). The steering wheel is from a 996 twin turbo as another option (with slight modification to fit the shaft nut - procedure posted here previously, and on 944 list), and the automatic shifter is a Volvo OE part that I modified to fit on the 928 stalk (embedded the Porsche emblem). No aftermarket products at all!!

Cheers,

Propnut66, et al,

Stumbled across an eBay listing for the Ford Capri etc. clock. Priced at about $18 US (or Aussie) plus shipping. No connection - just looks like an attractive alternative! Think I'll replace the digital in my '89 track car with one of these.

Porsche is very proud of thier analog clock and my current price is $455.
Price keeps going up.

The analog fits the digital apature perfectly.
