I've pulled a 13.5sec with a clone ebay chip set and 100% stock weight. Let's see if you can beat that.

I found right out of the hole the best launch was the brake torque method once I was staged, helped get the revs up a bit. I think my best time I managed to have it torqued up a bit more at the launch. I have a bog off the line with the 2.2 gears and the low stall speed on the automatic, once I get above 3000 and get nicely into the boost I am gone. Then, about 3/4 of the way down the track I have to go into 3rd on the auto and I drop back to around 4500 rpm and this take away from my acceleration a bit (less boost).
The cold temperature was tricky, car was making great power and track was cold. I parked the car for 15-20 min and then went back on to make a pass. I broke loose all the way through first and twitched sideways at 80 mph at half track . After that I started using the burnout box and it helped some.

So Ted,
What would you saw was the pucker factor of having the car 'twitch' at 80mph? I'm guessing it was somewhere between OS (oh ****) and OMFGI'MGOINGIN.
I can't imagine breaking loose at 80. Holy crap.
Sounds like it's time for some more meat on the back for the beast.

Hi
Thats a VERY GOOD time for any 928....
My UK record stands at 13.03 @113.3 mph....
With full weight (3800 lbs) plus LSD and Nitrous..
I had the same problems as you...no traction on the line so had to dial in a 2 second delay on the Nitrous, and was changing gear at 7000 (rev limiter removed) and mine is an auto as well.
A great great time well done...
All the best Brett

It isn't that bad, you just have to be ready to get out of it a bit. A LSD would help for sure, but I really don't have traction issues except in the cold. Once it is above 15 C it doesn't really break loose at all.

I need to take the Estate to the Strip......I wonder what R comps, 2800lbs and 203whp could do? Just hook up the bowden cable to make sure 1st gear works and let her rip!!

Nice job! Going to the track is fun. I need to get mine back there when my clutch/brake issue is fixed. I wonder if I will shave a few tenth's running in cooler weather instead of 100 plus! Car was getting really hot!
I had the same problems getting the car to launch. I really need drag radials to see what she can do. She is just a dog out of the hole but it sure is a lot of fun slamming the gears and hearing her roar! Even if it is slow it sure is fun!
