Help identify part please

Help identify part please
I found this spring under the nose of my engineless 82 Euro S.
I don't know if it's from the car ,lawnmower, leaf blower, garage door or what. Can anyone id the spring? TIA- Gunar

1974 MGB throttle return spring for a stromburg carb.

its not a slave spring its too thin,
could it have come out of the shifter handle of the auto shifter?

Merlin,
It's a manual. I am not even sure it's from my car but I do have the slave,etc, hanging down on the garage floor under the car. Engine is out.

It looks a lot like the springs that go in the Driver's Door change holder......the one that tells you that you closed the door too hard by throwing things at you. Ingenious German Engineering at work again!!!
