Memphis Audio 15-PR42V2 Direct replacement front speakers
Spent the day installing a new head unit and front speakers in my sons 88. These speakers can be installed without removing the door panels.
Spent some time searching for a decent speaker that would fit the front doors with no modification. These are a breeze. They use the original opening and use the original holes and screws. Took maybe 5 minutes to unscrew the old speaker, clip wires and drop the new ones, with grill in. Not real hip on the grill style, but fit like a glove.
Even though the pic does not look like it, all four original holes do line up, and the metal panel backer with retainer clips is used. Can see it in the pic with back of speaker.
Will finish the speaker install tomorrow.
Below is a link to the same speakers, I purchased them elsewhere.
