Happy to relieve you of two of your nitrile sound deadener mats for the spare wheel well.

Thanks so much.

Are you going to be at Sharktoberfest? If so, find me on Saturday (white '90GT with WA plates) and I'll show you what it does and how it works. It's new-in-box, all you save is shipping, and there are plenty more available-- see Louie's website above or JDS Porsche, or contact Colin (Lizard931 here), he handles Sharktuners in Canada.

If you won't be there, then darn! (But it is not too late to change your mind).

Here's the short scoop: Your '89 has two ECU's, the LH2.3 to manage fuel and the EZK to handle ignition. These were used from '87 to the end of production. The Sharktuner connects to those boxes and allows fiddling with fuel and ignition maps and parameters, as well as providing diagnostics.

Porsche didn't leave a lot of HP on the table with the 87+ cars, you can pick up some with careful tuning. But if you plan engine mods (cams, exhaust, forced induction) then a custom tune with a Sharktuner is definitely worthwhile-- and a Sharktuner is cheap compared to the cost of serious mod's.

The 85/86 cars are a different story. Those were the first 32-valve engines, had better cams than the later cars, and were very conservatively tuned. So there are some significant gains to be had, and Ken's chips are certainly worthwhile- but only work for the 85/86 brains.

If you want to dig deeper, please send me a PM with an email address and I will send some manuals, info and some links.

Good! I will bring them along. (If you are not going to LA, then shipping is $10. They are heavy for mailing.)

Default C&R Radiator - $500

I have a C&R radiator that I ran for three years before it sprung a leak. It has been repaired and tested by C&R. $500 bucks, pick up at SFest.

Mark - OK.

BTW: Do you still buy/trade for cat converters? I have a 32V cat (two individual sections) with the pipes cut off. Or was it the pipes you needed?

I was going to pick up, at minimum, a rebuilt steering rack for my '86.5 while I was there...

Ken,

I have a rebuilt rack I could sell you.

As well Jim, the sharktuner can be used for more than just extracting a few extra ponies from adjusting the air/fuel mix. It can also be used to increase fuel economy greatly.

Oops, forgot.

Maybe you'd like to buy back the rear A/C one too?

Oh well, they are kind of stinky, anyway. I'll see if I can trade them for some meth around here.

Just like a 928 is worth more as parts... $100 for the (brand new!) towers only, shipped anywhere.
