New owner ( Newb if you like)
Hello everyone my name is chris. I live in tampa, fl and i am the proud owner of a 1986.5 928s Auto. I have always been into euro cars, but this is my first porsche. My previous vehicle list consisted of mostly watercooled vw, but i have owned my share of e30 bmw's as well. I hear that these cars can be a dream or a nightmare, depending on previous owners. I am ready for either since i have nothing but time to get this thing back to original and then maybe change a few small things. I would appreciate any input you guys have, and look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.

Welcome Chris!
This is a great place to learn much about your very cool car. Begin by reading every post in the New Visitor thread at the top of this forum. It will answer 95% of the questions you have about your car as a new owner.

There is great camaraderie here and several "must attend" meet ups every year. Some on the East Coast too. The people here are great and share a strong passion for our cars. Some of us can get a little cranky at times, not often, so be sure and practice using the search option before posting losts of questions. It will save you time and get you a lot of the answers you are looking for but please do fire away with questions to things you can't find through search.
Congratulations again and welcome to the Shark infested waters of the 928 Rennlist forum.

Welcome Chris. These cars can be a little daunting to put right, but if you lay out a solid game plan to work from most to least critical it all comes together quite nicely. You have already completed step #1 (after buying the car of course) and that is finding this forum. Just about anything you need to know about 928's can be found in the extensive knowledge on this board.

Welcome Chris, there is a DVD available that will get you up to speed quickly on the overall model span of the 928's as well as a nice calendar featuring the 928 too if you like those kinds of things. You can "private message" me if you would like more info on either.
86.5 928...nice car! Some people SWEAR BY THEM actually! I love any 928 personally! As you can see I have a few! LOL! That might be a slight understatement!
Also, you might consider joining the 928 Owners Club! www.928oc.org

I was turned on to this website by a person i met on FLoridaGerman. I was a member there when i had my e30 and mk3 gti. Not sure of his name on this board, but he lives in lakeland, fl and his name is shawn (Fabio). He owns about 4 928's if im not mistaken and a turbo'd one as well....Again good to meet all of you and pics to follow.
