Thank you Michael for that chearification. Mine has the same issues. There was good regular maintenance on the big stuff but the PO just didn't give it that tlc... Like keeping the engine bay clean etc... I have just got it to the point where it runs pretty well and am very impressed with the power these cars have compared to my 79.. This car should still sell for the 5k. That is about what I paid for mine and it had 150k miles. I know a couple others have picked them up in this range.

Best of luck to you,

And that would require someone working on the engine anyway-so it'd be a bunch of WYAITs!

mickster,
This is getting depressing. I can't believe this hasn't sold yet. Good luck man. Doesn't seem right you selling this that cheap. Hope this sells quickly for you.

Mike - update on the sale?

This car is bringing me out of the woodworks. Might your move involve a detour through Chicago to save on shipping costs?

Sounds pretty good.
Michael, did they check the endplay for you or just release the tension?

The released the tension and checked endplay. Now the shop is a chain so I only trust it so far--but I did send them the write-up on how to check the end-play and they sent pictures back of their measurements--but I don't know where the heck they are at the moment.

However I do know Dave Smith at Smith Motorworks in Panama City, FL went over the car from head to **** to toe and didn't find anything out of whack.

I may throw it on ebay. My move is just local.

Hey Mike,
Is this thing still for sale? Looks like I may be in the market again.

Yup--it's at $5000 on ebay right now (hit the reserve). If you want it let's talk soon (ends Sunday); I have the right to cancel and there is some serious looking.

Sorry to hear about your 88.

I can't believe this car has not sold yet. I've sent a few people your way to look at your adds and/or contact you Michael.

It's worth more than you are asking.

Looks like you have it sold on Ebay. A bittersweet congrats on the sale. That is a low price for your car. Are you going to get another 928 if all goes well on Ebay?
