steering leak--help?

Loosen the fill plug for the transmission first, then the drain plug. If the fill is a no go, at elast you are not stuck with a drained transmission.

What shape are the steering rack bushings? If the oil pan has been leaking for a while, it can easily disolve the rubber in the stearing rack bushings. Now would be the time to change them.

Chaged the oil about two weeks before SITM-no signs. About 4 weeks after SITM Rob(928 at last) and I did oil changes and thats when I saw it was leaking. Hopfully the new gasket will solve.
