That's "Soon to be Red's car, and a good one. John has gone thru and fixed all the major issues.

Every 89 S4 that I have been in, Auto or manual, seems to run better than the 87/88's. By run better, I mean better acceleration. I have driven this car, and this one is no exception. I don't want to start a debate, because I know this should not be the case. But that is my honest perception.

John has put thousands into this car. Everything in the add is true, and he probably left some things out.

Could be the gearing change... 2.54 for the ATs....and 2.64 for the 5sp...and of course the 2.73 in the GT..... The AT's seem to feel snappier...

'89 has 15% quicker gearing than the '87-'88 cars, making for a very noticeable change in low-speed performance. From maybe 90 mph on up they are pretty even though. Individual gear ratios are different spacing too.

That said, the earlier 2.20 cars are more relaxed cruisers. There are times when the lower final drive would be much better for me, but not enough to make up for the extra launch performance of the 2.54 gears in everyday driving.

Has a different valve body, too.

Who's getting married? Cars make good gifts.

I noticed that one too, cause I liked the color. Then I saw the engine pics and thought it must be a rennlister.

Thanks Dan. Next time you see me I will be married!

No, not Panamera wheels.

IIRC, they are 996 wheels. It was one of those moments that went like this, Me: "Hey Roger, those are good looking wheels. Roger:"They can be yours, my friend. Do you want them now?" Me: "Really, Yeah, I guess I could load them up now. Thanks!"

Or as Chuck Schreiber would say "if you don't buy these wheels, you're FOKKED!"

Hah, couldn't resist ...
