Anyone ever figured out how to hook one of these up to a boosted 928? I remember years ago, well before the shark tuner, some tired with limited sucess.
I have two of them collecting dust in my garage and figured it won't hurt to ask. One is red and the other is blue, made for Vortech.

MSD? Get three of em...install two just to make sure you make it to work and back, and third because #2 fails soon after #1, before the replacement gets to you from Jegs/summit/etc.
Personal experience..never again.
In my experience MSD, aka Autotronics sells reliable ignition components. If you're having multiple unit failures then I'd suggest their might be an application issue that needs investigation not multiple defective MSD components?
As a side note... The MSD ignition was originally developed by Autotronics for Chrysler Corp. for use on their Hemi Drag Cars to eliminate sparkplug fouling from the rich AFRs they had to run back in the 70"s with carbs. FWIW, I've used MSD units on many applications without every experiencing a single failure. YMMV.

Aint much to installing one right...and I refuse to let my race car beat me..and well, I stopped using the MSD ignition boxes years ago (except the replacement to the OptiSpark on GM Fbods)..and ive not lost an igition system since.
Maybe its the vibration of the larger race cars, maybe it was the rapid fire of the rotaries..but..just sayin, you shouldnt -have- to run 2 ignition systems on a car to finish a race.

The stock dual coil setup has been proven to work past 600rwhp.
If you are having ignition problems, I say fix that before tossing an MSD box into the mix.
Beyond that, I see no reason why you cannot trigger the MSD box off the ignition modules down in the nose.
