Here you go anyway... Pin 13 on the LH and pin 19 on the EZK.

Just to confirm though, the air filter is the right way up correct?

I say also intake air leak.I had the same on my 86.5 and you should check the vacuum at the ezk and at the fuel dampers.

As a quick check of the wiring I disconnected the temp II sensor............no start.

Re-connected the temp II and she fires right up so confirms the LH/EZK are getting the temp II signal.

I did make my own version of Dwaynes intake leak tool ............I'll try that out later today.

Perhaps there's a slight manifold leak that self seals as engine warms up ?

Perhaps John..............I did rebuild the intake a few years ago with all new gaskets, hoses, refurb injectors but used the old ISV (it tested good) and didn't replace the throttle shaft or flappy shaft brgs. The intake r&r, if thats what is required, will be a winter project as winter is quickly approaching here.

................and the winner is?

Intake leak!

With the engine running at idle I sprayed (perhaps to liberaly) brake cleaner around both sides of the intake/fuel injectors.............instant clouds of smoke from the tailpipe. I've no idea exactly where but I'll tear it apart when the snow flies.

Until then I'll live with the issue................thx for everyones input

Could be Colin.............they were new when I had the injectors cleaned but dont know the origin.

When I pull the intake I'll decide on new FIs and new ISV etc etc...........thx for the comments and the call

No worries,

I hope that there is a chance you might be able to make it down here.

If you do decide to come down let me know in advance and I can have an intake powdercoated and ready for a swap.

It's possible to "catch" an injector o-ring on the lip of the hole in the manifold and not seal. I've done it. But I'm not sure why your issue seems to clear up after a couple of minutes.

Oxy sensor gets warmed up and starts correcting for the leak.

That's my story and I'm, stickin' to it.
