I don't, in the little rubber case it sits very nicely sideways across the ashtray and doesn't move

That is where I put mine in the cars that don't have the cig lighter being used for a radar detector, but many of mine have that location in use for the above. So, I need another place too...

I sit mine in the door grab slot standing up. Also lay it across the area between the arm rest and the window controls. I also sometimes lay it face down on the center arm rest. I'd love to find a cool snap mount that will fit my rubber case and position it horizontally above the ashtray....

You should install a head unit that has Bluetooth & an iPod adapter or USB!
