Is there another way to attach these bumper seals? Maybe counter sink tiny screws and a little glue? Gunar

I think the staples are the best method. When I did mine I used a heavy duty hand held stapler and it kind of worked ok. I think a better option would be to go to an upholstry shop. I'm sure they would have a stapler powerful enough to drive staples into the plastic. Good luck.

Apparently latest version is no staples. Roger sent me some replacements, which are awaiting installation. They use adhesive strips. Also, fairly cheap.

I used a pneumatic stapler from harborFreight (I think it was about $10) and it worked great.

Stick it in place and then staple it. Ya think that stuff is going to last another 20 years?

I just re-attached mine. I used super glue to attache the beading and then taped it into place to hold it until the glue was dry. Once the glue was dry I stapled it every 6" - 8" with monel staples. These are better than stainless and will never rust, even in a salt environment. After stapling, I went back over all of them with a punch and a hammer and made sure they were properly seated into the rubber beading.

When I did the front end on my 84 I just glued the seal on. It's held up well for the last 3 years.

I let my body guy talk me into not putting staples in mine, they lasted a little over a year before they started coming up.
