mine was leaking turned out i just need to tighten it a tad more

Excellent post - picked up one of these 3-jaw reversible oil filter wrenches today.

Sooo much easier than my previous method of a mallet and a piece of softwood as a drift.

I must have a dozen different types of oil filter removal tools. Looks like another good one to add to the tool collection.
