Default A/C Control Unit Fan Speed Plastic Decal Piece

The early A/C control units with good decal pieces under the fan speed **** are getting harder and harder to find. I'd like to find someone who can make/print/etch new ones. The piece actually appears to be a thin piece of clear plastic (apparently was sticky on one side) that had the black area applied. It is also possible that it started out totally black and the areas with printing were removed, leaving behind the "clear" areas.

At any rate, I need to find someone who knows something about how to do this kind of stuff. If anybody has or knows of a connection, please let me know.

Thanks,

greg brown

I'll talk to John about it this weekend. He should be able to work something out. Or, if he sees this, he might chime in.

Rob Budd already has one available IIRC - try him first.
Best,

Looks like this one has been solved (Rob Budd). for other things, this might be interesting
found this while looking for interior repair products-

http://www.superiorrestoration.com/

on the home page it looks like they sell a kit
to repair/ replace radio/ instrument decals etc. Click on the yellow letters in the radio to open up details.

I did look at Rob Budd's decal. It doesn't look like the early version piece and I hesitate to use a later decal, in place of the early plastic piece.

I'm pretty picky about what I do and how I do it. Someone, someday, might actually figure out that these are some of the finest cars ever made and want them to be original.

You can try this company. They have several 3D decals already in production for the rear hatch release button, speaker control, 928 script, etc...
