Garage Workspace Arrangement Ideas - Use pics and links if you have them
I have seen some pretty decent looking workspaces while looking at the threads. I have my first garage and when I get rid of some clutter, I want it to be a nice estrogen free workplace. I thought this thread could be used to come up with ideas for storage for both cars and tools as well as seeing creative arrangements for work benches etc..
Basically I'm trying to steal your ideas to make my place as awesome as some of yours.
Specifics for my garage
596 sq ft ,11'6 ceilings
3 car- 1 single door, 1 double door (Insulated) (they will need to be moved up if i ever get a lift).
Before I moved in I used acrylic caulk on all the spider cracks and uneven spots.
I then used epoxy-coat with a grey base coat (great kit) after degrease etching etc.
Garage is painted and insulated.
No work surfaces.
I'll post some pics later but here is my first link.
This paint turns any printable surface into dry erase board

Good for you engineers and inventors and a place for the rest of use to doodle.
Also good if you have children or animals blamed by children who like to write on walls.

before you build your garage you need to build the estrogen storage facility,
make sure the correct color curtains and furniture are installed

Three Wheelin'
Lista or Stanley Vidmar cabinets (buy used- Craigslist, Ebay, local auctions etc.
Pallet type racking (all sizes avail) used.- cheap.
Bottom level on the rack can be used for the
workbench. Try for next to nothing on the floor unless you have a big garage.

If you can, build the cabinets to fit your shop. I priced out pre-made shop cabinets and was able to custom make my own for less money. My base cabinet is 18' long and has plenty of work space.

Yeah-um...it's threads like these that make me hate living on Long Island...you either need $$$$$ or to live 2 1/2 hours away from where you work to find enough space to have a nice garage...

Support items to consider.
A good twin basin sink.
Some sort of efficient and safe method to degrease parts and contain the gunk, even it its in a storage shed outside.
Overhead air and power.
Long, protected under-car fluorescent tube lights.

Good Ideas. I think a sink would be beneficial to install. I have plenty of outlets and need good lights
