I'm going to be in the neighborhood and would buy this one in a heartbeat... If I didn't have to smuggle it through Cali registration and smog hell on its way home. Somebody jump on this!!!

No change...yet.
I always planned to finish that part of the project, all the parts are on the bench just waiting for me to put her back up on the stands and get 'er done. New seals, txv, flush and 134A.
Just haven't had the time or passion for it, it's weird, when it needed all kinds of work I was more into it than I am now that it runs well. I guess I needed the project more than I wanted a fast 928...
If it becomes a deal breaker you can bet I'll find the time to finish up the AC. Then again, obviously the total package, SharkTuner, numerous 928 specific tools, mods, spare parts, factory manuals, etc. is designed to attract a 928-experienced buyer so someone in that category might enjoy using the unfinished AC as a bargaining chip since the actual time involved to finish the AC is going to be cheap versus the saving$ in final price.
I have to go to my daughters birthday party now, tomorrow I will wash the car and get some pics up for everyone and finish responding to the the PM's for those requesting specific pics and details etc.
Thanks!
Craig

I was refering to the Movie, the spoof on James Bond movies. I just turned 50 so it was a really cool movie in the day. I like how James Coburn would sleep with his head on a chair and his feet on another chair and nothing would hold his body up but his head and feet! He was in a deep sleep, like a trance. The his watch would beep and a little metal piece would pop out of his watch and rotate side to side and wake hime up. Very Cool!
Flynn was more my Dads time, but I love all of those movies too.

Ok, as promised a few pics but also a notice to prospective buyers. As of last night a buyer has made a commitment to pick the car up very soon so I'm holding it for him.
If for some reason he can't go through with the deal I'll post here to let you know and contact those who inquired via PM.
I'm not happy to see it go but it is for the best.
All I can say about the new owner right now is he's no stranger to 928's and he's been known to visit this forum. I'll leave it to him to fill you in as he see's fit.
I'd like to mention a big thank you to all you guys who helped me with this adventure of 928 ownership. Especially Roger Tyson, Tim Murphy and Erik (Hacker-Pschorr), John Speake as well as many others here who put up with my dumb questions. Maybe I'll be back with a new project one day.

So true, but most new buyers never realize it. They might find a decently maintained 928 but they think its out of their price range, then they go buy a cheaper one and before they know it, they already have way more money in it than if they just had bought the other one in the first place. That's how I plan on buying my next S4, its either going to be a broken one that I will pay less than 1000 for or one that has had a lot of work done to it by a pro. Its just not worth it buying one for 5000 to 7000 dollar that may need a new paint job and a ton of deferred maintenance done to it.

Really not looking forward to a 24-28 hour trip next weekend (going to trailer it home), but it'll be worth it in the end.
Wish me luck,
Rod

While it's sad to see Craig parting with his car, the silver lining is Rod taking it home.
Damn Rod, opening up a museum??
I'm looking forward to round 2 already
Next time a road trip to Green Bay should be in order.
