Roger .. still include mine. I'll be able to sort it out by doing whatever is needed on the computer I choose to run it on. Thanks ... Dave

Would it help to also include PET 7.1 so those using Windows 7 and Vista can load that first?

That would work for me Roger.

Otherwise, just sent 7.2 over anyway.

Thanks

For those using XP the discs are shipping today.
For those that need PET 7.1 as well it may be a couple of days depending on how much homework Mercedes has.

+1 >>> install under Xp compatibility mode, or if that does not work, download windows virtual pc from microsoft and install virtual pc ( which is a complete Xp install (running inside win7 64bit) and then install 7.2.

Roger, please send to me anyway -
Cheers

Hi Roger,

Can you add one more, including 7.1, to the list, no rush?

Payment sent, and thank you and Mercedes.

[Zane here - Roger's better half] Thanks for the ideas w/r/t PET 7.2 and Win7/Vista. Was able to get 7.1 running on Vista32 and succeeded in installing 7.2 on top of that. The PET 7.1 Hardlock installs a Vista driver that seems to be missing in the 7.2 Hardlock install. Wasn't able to get 7.1 to run on Win7/64 Home. Apparently must have Win7 Pro to be "allowed" to download virtual WinXP from Microslop, but PC came with Home and didn't see point in upgrading at the time. Tried setting all PET executables to run in XP compatibility mode, no change. Thinking this is more an issue with the 64bit config rather than Win7 - has anyone been able to install on Vista64? I'm guessing there's no 64bit-compatible driver in Hardlock and PET 7.2 installer isn't canny enough to figure out where to put the program files. (And I'm not canny enough to figure out where to tell it to go... or to tell it a location that would actually help.) At least we've made a little progress - next idea please?

Roger,

IF you can supply the 7.1 and 7.2 on a DVD so I can use it on my Vista system, I'll take this version. No Hurry, be sure Mercedes gets her homework done first!!! - Ha.

Gary will be done.

Zane, my extremely clever wife (why she ever married me I will never know) is on the case and researching how to unlock the key to the “hardlock”.
Those with Windows XP discs on the way. Those with Windows Vista and 7 please be patient a little longer.

I found this the other day - newer versions of the hardlock driver which apparently support 64-bit XP and 64-bit Vista, according to the html file in the zip package:

ftp://ftp.ealaddin.com/pub/aladdin.d...lsw32_inst.zip

A quick try didn't make PET7.2 work - however I've tried installing a variety of hardlock drivers which don't have uninstallers, so not sure whether older versions are causing issues. I also wonder whether the old hardlock dll's in the PET directory are causing issues?

For the intrepid or more technical than me, more versions and other files in here:

ftp://ftp.ealaddin.com/pub/aladdin.de/hardlock/

I'm kind of lost here as to what will work. I have version 7.1 working on my Vista 32 computer. It sounds like this is a setup that will successfully take the update to 7.2. Correct???

Also, is 7.2 worth upgrading to for the average shark lover like myself?? Not really sure what the benefits are with the newer version, but if it's newer it must be better...right??
