17mm is my choice.

Now please tell us, why did you go all that way for the car? Pristine? And why no pictures

Think the offset,s the same ? on 16inch tele-dials as it is on 16inch man-hole style alloys, if that,s so, I was running 25mm rear spacer,s on my previous man hole,s, I got them from" Porschshop UK."
Iv,e now got Cup 1,s fitted, and had the spacers machined down to 17mm.

Sounds like a great car you have there.., guess it must be after travelling so far.
Don,t forget the pics

I have 38MM on my wheels. How far out to the fender do you want to go?

17 MM = .067"
25MM = .098"
38 MM = 1.5"

What I meant to say was, the 25mm were perfect at filling the wheel arch, with the original wheels which yours are, but the 9inch rear wheels I have now were too wide to fit 25mm spacers, hence reducing them to 17mm

If you have these, they work with the stock bolts.

right, sorry last post was me being thick.....not sure how far out i want to go to be honest, just enough that the wheel doesnt look so tucked away inside the arch; sounds like 25mm is around the ideal then give or take...just spoke to paul anderson (928 guy in the uk) and he seems to agree....so I'm golden. cheers lads.....gonna put up a load of pics once i have everything tickety-boo....woohoo....

Warning if your going to try to fit bolt on bolt on spacers ( no need to swap out the factory studs) make sure that the new spacer lugs are open ended steel ( like the ones Sean Posted^^^^)and that when the nut is screwed all the way tight that it sits below the surface of the spacer .
Otherwise the nut will hit the 16 in. phone dial wheel and it will not seat on the spacer.

IIRC you will need to add a spacer thats wider than 21mm.
if its 21mm or thinner, then the nuts will protrude and the wheel surface will hit the lugs.

Now to figure out what size spacer to use,
with the car sitting on a flat surface simply measure from the outside edge of the TIRE to the inside edge of the fender lip ,
then subtract 6mm from that .
do both sides use the number that is less .
say you measure 36 mm from the left and 38 from the right , you would use a spacer thats 30mm wide.

Note make sure you have the correct tires installed before you measure....
( this info is for the rear wheels only.)

If you want to fit slide on spacers then the rear hubs must be removed and the studs replaced ,
this will also require that a new rear wheel bearing be fitted to the hub carriers

Quick Reply: 16'' teledial wheel spacers....any ideas what size is best??
