Actually, let me post something constructive here...
I spoke with Jeannie last night at length. She has been overwhelmed. She admitted to me that some thngs have slipped through the cracks (the point of this thread was a slip-up from the swaybar mfg not 928 Spec, but she admitted responsibility).
But she now has some help. Pam has returned and they are getting caught up and things should go smoother.
Personally, if I ever call them and don't get an answer, I'll leave a meaasage, but I always follow it up with another phone call until I get hold of Jeannie (and now Pam). That's the best way to ensure you get your order in.

We are lucky to have all our current vendors, including 928 Specialists.
Only those with zero history with the 928 community would show such little regard and patience with the people who have made our mutual hobby even possible.
Haveng access to a public forum where you can crap on highly regarded people at your whim with zero consequences while hoping to sooth your misplaced ego by doing damage to someone's business, does NOT make it either honorable OR the right thing to do.
The "members" of the real 928 community know the quality of the people at Specialists. Newbys, not so much....

Well said, Gretch. Thanks!
This community really just amounts to that many of us holding hands in a circle, so to say, and with all of us kicking into the center, for the good of all, what little we can contribute in our individual way. I think that includes those who are classified as vendors to one degree or another.
When someone joins the group and sees that someone is a vendor and therefore in "business" they tend to assume that they should be held to some higher standard that then rest. I don't think that they should because even though someone is a vendor and may even be making a living out of thier "business" they are limited by the small size of this market and the limited resources of its individual members. That means that we cannot afford large or even small payrolls to carry the load and what we are able to do for the others may very well be limited to our individual capabilities. When those are limited, as with Jeannie, the rest of us need to suck it up and go with the flow and not expect GM or Xerox kind of response to our individual issues.
Give it a little slack when you can and the end result will be in your favor.

I hope to God that all of us are able to keep our cars and our businesses during this little spell.
I just got out of surgery Friday. Wake me when you have a real problem.
PLEASE use this forum as a LAST resort in dealing with vendors. Communication. It may be an art, but it is also a responsibility. Don't assume it is all hearts and roses out there, and people are just having fun at your expense.
I expect that in most cases, that is far from the truth.
