That seems like it could be a very desireable S4.
An 89 5-speed that may have been taken care-of.
Looks like you might have procured it well, also.
GLWS.

That is the same car, but I didn't see it on or buy it through Ebay at the time. He had it listed locally. Hilton, I can ship it to OZ if you are interested in buying!

old ebay listing says timing belt @ 65k, not 73,558 ??
did you sort out the AC with the 134 conversion or stay with R12?
any synchro notchiness with any gears?
nice looking car.

However, if there are any Aussies reading this thread in WA or the NT, this car *IS* eligible for import.. it is a very early '89 VIN and meets the import regulations for the easiest import approval regulations.

65,000 miles for the timing belt was the PO's estimate. I verified with the independant porsche shop Stuttgart Southwest when the timing belt and waterpump had been replaced while purchasing the car. They checked their records and it was 73,558. The PO was going to convert to R134, but no Porsche mechanic thought that was a good idea down here in AZ. The R12 is more expensive, but it cools the interior in AZ much better. I have not experienced any synchro notchiness on this particular vehicle. The PO is also a mechanic and works for VW/Audi proving grounds here in Phoenix, AZ.
