This Porsche has several features that set it apart from many other 928’s out on the market. The first obvious trait is the factory 5-speed manual. If you know these cars well, then you realize that the 5-speed was very rare in the S4 model. In fact 1989 was the last year for a 5-speed S4. After that point only the GT and GTS had 5-speed manual options. 1989 was also the first year Porsche installed the computer information screen that displays miles on the car, outside temperature, mpg, miles to empty, trip odometer and so on. The antenna was also changed to the roof in the bee sting style. A Bosch diagnostic system (aka the "hammer") was also introduced to the 928 in 1989. This allows the car to be connected to a computer to help diagnose engine and other system problems.

The color of this Porsche is classic Grand Prix White which was available in almost every model year. It is in excellent condition overall, except for a few small 3mm marks on the rear bumper. White is very cool in the summer, something very important for those who live in hot climates. There is no rust on the vehicle. The interior is Marine Blue and is completely stock except for the Blaupunkt “Las Vegas” CD player added by the previous owner. An Alpine head unit was installed prior as well, but the previous owner elected to remove that unit and place the Blaupunkt back in the car when he sold it to me. The Blaupunkt was quickly installed and only two speakers were connected at the time. I have not changed anything because I don’t really listen to the radio. The leather is in good shape for the year and would not need to be replaced anytime soon. There are a few hairline cracks in the dash around the vents. About a half an inch long. This is very common in the 928. All the electrical components work in this vehicle. The air conditioning blows very cold. The vehicle also has the optional rear air conditioning. The floor mats are in excellent condition.

This vehicle also has a rear muffler bypass installed. It is not too loud and it provides another 15-20 HP. If you wish to quiet things down, the original OEM muffler is being sold with the car. It is in excellent condition. The tires are brand new, installed 08/18/2010. They are Fuzion ZRi Ultra High Performance tires. From the manufacturer: The Fuzion ZRi is the Fuzion brand's Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed to meet the needs of sport compact and sports car driving enthusiasts and tuners. The Z-speed rated Fuzion ZRi is designed to provide crisp and responsive handling and traction in both wet and dry conditions.

The vehicle had the timing belt and water pump replaced in June of 2006 at 73,558 miles. This month I had the front and rear fuel pressure regulators replaced. The oil used is Castrol.

On Ebay starting at $11995 no reserve. If you wish to purchase outright, the vehicle is for sale at $13500.

Wow, you owned it for one month?

Guess the "resale" will hold up pretty well then

Interior looks decent - can't really tell on the exterior from low-res photos..

Hilton: The exterior is better than the interior. Almost flawless, except the rear bumper. It has several marks that can be touched up very easily. I may do it on my own if I can get to the Porsche dealer in the next few days. I am only selling the car because I want something I can beat up on the track. This car will be too nice for that I am afraid. Plus I want something smaller and lighter. Otherwise, it is a hoot to drive!

Landseer: Yes, opened the flaps and changed the fuel pressure regulators. It was running too rich. Now it runs like it should. The dry weather here in Arizona coupled with the previous owner not driving the car enough dried out the original fuel pressure regulators.

So, inquiring minds want to know..... why are you selling this car!!! I looks like a really nice S4. Your first post is clearly a cut and paste from an ad elsewhere, full of information that isn't needed here on Rennlist. If it's related to the economy, we will would certainly understand, but any buyer here is likely going to want to know why you are bailing on the car so soon after purchasing it.

Esprit: I am moving out of the country for new employment and I do want something smaller and simpler for the track.

Isn’t there like some sort of limit to how many for sale posts one can post in a month?

Rennlist is a great place to reach a special segment of population that needs and wants hard to find parts. Thank you Rennlist!
