Hey Glen,

Thanks for the offer. If you're up for it, it would save me a trip. Sounds good to me if you don't mind.

hey guys/gals, how is everyone???

NOOB here to RennList, I am a pelican member for forums, etc.
My name is Dane, live in Havertown PA, RTR-PCA member and proud, dedicated Porsche enthusiast.

Anyway, my good buddy Allen from Allentown(Stylemobile) sent me over to this thread in hopes I will join in for the Beach event, looks like alot of fun. I am marking the date on the calendar and safe to say include me and my baby.

My 3rd child is a 1979 928 custom X-Race car, now completely rebuilt/restored and redesigned in street clothing.

I am also a personal friend of Dave's(autowerks9) and am sorry to hear he now cannot make it but at least his beautiful etched glasses are!!!! haha

Let me know if I can contribute in anyway, bring anything needed, etc. Besides bringing my beautiful Shark for all you lucky people to stare at.

Hey Sharktech, Welcome. I like your car and can't wait to see it in person. and you know, meet you too.

OK, here's a rough list of things that I think we're going to need. We've got lots of people coming so I think if we split it up then no one will have to bring too much stuff. We're open for suggestions for other stuff too, but bear in mind there's just the one grill so whatever needs to be cooked will have to wait in line.

Adam has volunteered to provide and cook some grilled chicken
Burgers: 2 packages or 12 burgers.(need 3 volunteers to each bring this)- SharkTech (need 2 more)
Hot dogs: 2 packages or 12 hot dogs. Alexei (mx22), Glen McCartney, Cobalt

Rolls/buns: Enough rolls and buns for 12 hamburgers AND 12 hot dogs (need 3 volunteers for this).- Glen McCartney, Tony (Toofast928) (need 1 more)

Anything else for the grill????

Salads:
Potato salad (I volunteer my wife for this ).
A green salad of some kind?

Any other salads, sides?

Drinks:
12 pack of gatorade/powerade/whatever: (need 4 volunteers)
Case of water bottles (only needed 1 volunteer) -SharkTech- THANK YOU!
Whatever alcoholic beverage you wish to drink, but remember the drive home...
Adam will make sure we've got ice in the cooler as well.

If your car is going to be worked on and I'm one of the ones doing the wrenching, I like Guinness, especially if it's cool out

Just respond here or send me a PM and I'll update this list.

Dane,
Glad you introduced yourself. You'll fit right into any 928 mix like a veteran.
Since Dane requires no more HP at the rear wheels, if we are doing any upgrades I vote that we take the 928 most in need and put the least in need at the bottom of the totem pole (Dane, Sorry. If we prioritize in that way, your 928 is the part of the totem that gets buried in the ground.)
Juz sayin your 928 is awesome! Let's meet up along the way for a unified drive. Glen McCartney and I may be driving together as well. We'll see what works out.

Mike,
Guinness will be brought as lubrication. I hear the foamy head is good for removing brake dust from magnesium wheels.

Cheers,

Allen

Mike,
thx for the warm welcome, glad to be here and look forward to meeting some more/new 928 addicts like myself. Let's say to count me in for 12 burgers and a case of water, got that covered.

Dave,
yeah, bigger tanks and fish are always better, right??? Just don't tell the Pelican heads I am tradin' ...
Sorry you cannot make it, I would look forward to hanging out with ya, but as long as your amazing etched work/glasses are making it there I guess that will suffice, haha...

Allen,
Haha, I do not think you will ever forget that ride in my car me thinks??? Yeah, she runs good.
My baby certainly does not need anything but a heavy foot and a smile, which come hand in hand. I have to agree, it is as fun to drive as it is to look at. And it must seem like a bugati to that 84 us AUTO of yours, haha, sorry had to go there...
A meet up and tandem drive out will be a must, we will go over the details soon.

Allen speaks very highly of my 1979 X-Race car, it has a beefed up tranny/clutch/syncro's/RUF short throw box, LSD car, m28/11 Euro motor swap w/head rework/plenum boring/timing advance/porting, Y pipe, custom 3" competition exhaust w/no cats(finally somewhat street worthy now) and some other goodies, let's just say it's alot of fun, and by no means not your typical 1979 928, to say the least.

Thx always for the compliments Allen, you just make me want to pack up the rover and go take the Porsche out!!!

Well Hopefully the time spent on the wrench at this event will be worth while for the ones in need, any help/info I can provide I will, indeed!!!

Cya all out there for a great time, can't wait!!!

Hi Dale,

There is a list in post #65 above that I've been updating as people volunteer. If you want to pick something I'll put you on there.

The ladies are certainly invited, we usually have a few of the 'fairer gender'. We don't discriminate, some of my best friends happen to be female.

Let me know what you can bring and we'll see you in just over a week.

Getting close now!

Very cool!

Also, please check the list and pick something to bring.

Everyone else, please help out and sign up for something to bring so Adam and I don't have to get the rest, OK?

Mike,

Looks like I will be able to attend after all. I canceled my DE at Thunderbolt. Doing Monticello this weekend and I have an AX that Sunday at the Meadowlands. I can bring dogs or something if you like. Any preference. Best's, Thumans, Ball Park?

See you guys then.
