I believe I have seen that at one time or another...if there was enough interest I might be convinced to reproduce a limited batch.

Even if there was a economical conversion from the existing twin pipe ('90-'95) as a "bolt-on" go-faster kit could be cool too. I always felt that the pipes on one side looked unbalanced and besides, even buicks today have dual sided exhausts on them.

Default c'mon really

Guess I'm getting old....

There is a single tailpipe option too....or, was...

Still advertised at porscheshop uk, and a few other places. And on the SS website (.it) IIRC.

^^^^^^^^ Yep............The first picture is the one I was talking about. It splits into a left and right sided exhaust pipe. It would be a little cooler with twin pipe tips on both sides but singles would work. Just a little more "updating" bling, I suppose.

Default rear fascia

fascia photo w/duals below. Looks like a custom formed bumper cover, or at least the lower portion.

There was a similar styling issue the '04 GTOs. Later 05/06 had true duals with left/right exits under the bumper, but the 04 had dual pipes paired up and exiting driver's side. An aftermarket co. made a trim mold for a piece that could be fitted to an '04 to match the openings in the rear fascia necessary to accommodate l/r tips, it provided a slight beveled edge and some transition underneath. Don't recall the name of the company. Edit- found distributor pfyc.com
http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GT5009/GTEXH/...+2004+GTO.html

Not what I would advocate for a "nice" 928, just rambling...

Also, to wind up the battery box discussion- photos with a dual in/dual out stainless Gibson, fairly short case, and then an internal x magnaflow- medium/long case. I went from the Gibson to Magnaflow for improved sound.

Ketchmi: I'd be very interested in something like this. I can get the cut-out and reform on the bumper cover done with no problem.

It will take him another three years to let you know one way or the other - we love you Chuck.

What did you ever decide on your ride height?

The Supersprint exhaust pipe size is 57mm(2.244"), isn't it stock GTS size? I would go for 2,5" as it will give at least same TQ/HP numbers + leaves some more area for future..

http://www.supersprint.com/en/IT/pro...e_928_gts.aspx

Dyno results taken with catalytic converter version of X-pipe + SS centre and rear exhaust system. Not so pad with catalytic converters, I think.

http://www.supersprint.com/en/IT/pro...e_928_gts.aspx

Supersprint:
- Metallic catalytic converter Right – Left 242902
- Centre exhaust Right – Left 242903
- Rear exhaust Right+ Left 243005
Actual data:
Horsepower 378,4 Hp at 6135 rev/min
Torque 512,9 Nm at 4310 rev/min

I still like the finishing of the products, but not the price
