Just got the new PCA Panorama last night. Did anyone see the listing for a 1990 928 GT for $11,500 under 100K miles for sale in the classifieds I think it was in New Jersey. I thought that my be worth checking out........I'm not at home,otherwise I would have listed it's details.....

According to my 928 brochure, main differences with GT are:
Manual
Sports seats
Sports suspension
20kg lighter
'Sportier' torque curve and gearing
10 bhp more
And I believe it was about £15000 more expensive!

There are differences between countries in the differences between model years.
US GT's did not get sport seats. Here's the whole listing from 928 registry:
1989 928 S4/GT VIN Range - WP0JB092_KS860001 - 1250

* 928 S4 automatic gets revised shift program (holds a gear longer when accelerator pedal is to the floor)

GT: revs at 3200 rpm at 80 mph due to 2.73 rear end
S4: revs at 2400rpm at 80 mph due to 2.20 rear end.
That's the biggest difference you would notice from the driver's seat. If you cruise at 85 mph the GT will feel like you need another gear and the S4 won't.

But you're right Ryan - why we are tripping over ourselves doing smyth's research for him is a mystery.
