Default Sun Visor Clips

So.. in the process of tidying up a few small items on my new 88' S4, I replaced both the front sun visor clips. I bought two brand new ones and I noticed today that one has already cracked and broken again. It was roughly a week old. Has anyone else had a similar issue? [i know this is a trivial part, but i figured i would ask anyway]

Part number: 911 731 331 00

I wonder if we could produce an aluminum or cast equivalent that would last through the Texas summers....

Yep. I just got a set last week too - broke the same day I installed one of them. I need to order another one, but thinking that a used one may be better.

We supply a modified visor clip that does not break.
They are $10 each.
Made by Mr Jim Mayzurk.
I have 20 waiting for modification. Once fitted they never break again.

Roger, can you add a pair of these to my bag-o-goodies for next week?

We need to make you a 928RUS "Cool Stuff" catalogue

My replacement visor clips have also broken. They're probably OK so long as you never move the visor...

You guys need to cut back on the 'roids. You're screwing them in too tight!

Default Rear Sunvisor (broken) mounting clip

Can any one help in sourcing just one of these mounting (left side) clips?

How does the rear visor rotate? I shot some WD40 in each end and each end seems to rotate/lock into place individually - it took a surprising amount of force for a sun visor?

Lastly, how does a clip mount onto the rotating rod? I couldn't find a screw on the clip or seam on the cover. Are they glued on?
